WALLINGFORD LOCAL PRODUCERS' MARKET

Location: Wallingford Masonic Centre, Goldsmith's Lane, Wallingford OX10 ODU

Every Saturday 10a.m. - 1p.m. EXCEPT 29th March; 31st May; 2nd and 30th August and 29th November, 2008.

Wallingford Local Producers Market is a not for profit community group that gives local farmers, growers and producers a regular venue to sell their wares. They have stalls for fruit and veg, meat, jams and preserves, cakes, bread and a "general stall" that sells many products from eggs and beer to honey and ready meals. The market also has a cafe that sells food made from items available at the market. Everything available at the market is produced within 30 miles of Wallingford.

It is raced in 2 division over a 4,000m course from Cholsey Ferry to OUBC. Racing starts at 12 noon. In 2006 over 550 entries were accepted.

Annual Parade and Service held on Wallingford Market Place. The Parade leaves the Cattlemarket car park at approximately 10.30a.m. The Mayor, accompanied by town councillors, the Mace Bearer and the Town Clerk in their robes, will take the salute as the parade marches past. After the outdoor Service of Remembrance, a service follows in St Mary's Church to which all are welcome.
